We are proud to announce our debut independent studio album, arriving October 30, 2026.

“The Monumental Fall” is the debut album release for Insolitus, a fresh and powerful new voice in the prolific Belgian melodic metal scene. Fans of Amorphis, The Halo Effect, and Soilwork would be remiss not to keep an eye on Insolitus’ upcoming singles and debut album coming in the Fall of 2026. The band features members of Immanent Distance, Darker It Gets and The Great White Nothing.

We teamed up with Szymon Wojciech of Regent Audio (Anciients, Zwartalder,...) and Yarne Heylen of Project Zero (Carnation, Epica, Warbringer,...) to give shape to what is in essence a memorable and worthwhile melody of hope and strength.

“Wouldn’t it be awesome to create some authentic, heavy but melody-oriented metal with no rules other than serve the song?”

This fundamental question sparked the birth of Insolitus. Thematically, Insolitus dives deep into the human experience. We explore the endless dualities of existence, breaking free from societal expectations, finding one's true identity,... Navigating the unfinished stories of loss and finding the strength to carry on, our songs aim to resonate.
